A cleaner energy future
Through our scenario modelling, Zadak Groups has been preparing for a lower-carbon future for some time.
Globally, renewable energy sources like solar and wind might offer up to 40% of energy by 2060, with the sun becoming the world’s greatest primary energy source a decade later.
A crucial part of the energy system in the future decades, hydrocarbons will be used to power transportation, particularly aviation, and manufacture common goods such as plastics and steel.
We are using our expertise, technology, and innovation to offer more clean energy and create methods to use energy more efficiently. We also collaborate with partners, communities, governments, and others to achieve this responsibly.
Over half of our current output is natural gas, the cleanest-burning hydrocarbon. We think it’s crucial for a sustainable energy future, notably in power generation, where it produces half the CO2 and a tenth of the pollutants.
We are working on many initiatives to securely capture and store CO2. These rely on government funding to be financially sustainable and spread. Changing a coal-fired plant to a gas-fired plant with CCS can reduce CO2 emissions by up to 90%. We have a decade of wind power experience with nine projects in North America and Europe.
Modern life requires transport. We are producing more efficient lubricants and fuels, including low-carbon biofuels and hydrogen, and delivering education programs to help drivers improve their own fuel efficiency.
